It all started when Tammy, one of our co-founders, tasted – for the first time – traditional homestyle Indonesian food when visiting a friend’s home. She was completely blown away by the flavours – it was nothing like the other Indonesian food she’s had before. The feeling was akin to travelling to another country and tasting food from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant where only the locals knew to go to. The master chef behind the Indonesian food that night? Her friend’s aunt. From this moment came the idea of My Soul Meals, a platform for extremely talented and often uncommercialized cooks to share their tasty food, regardless of their training and background.
