With My Soul Meals, we want to bring to light all the delicious traditional homestyle food made with original recipes and ingredients that very few people are exposed to. Our talented independent cooks are typically not on other platforms – and are reviewed to ensure their deep understanding of food culture resonates in the traditional homestyle food they create. With recipes that have up to 100 years of cultural refinement, you simply won’t find these flavours anywhere else.

Our cooks range from moms and grandmas to food truck and restaurant owners of all ages and genders. We believe talented cooks come in all shapes and sizes, and thus the only restriction for our cooks is that they cook traditional homestyle food made with original recipes and ingredients.

No, there are no monthly fees or auto-renewal charges. You simply pay for what you order each time you order.

Yes to all three and more. Cooks will provide varied amounts or portions per meal, indicated by serving size. In general, cooks can have options that are best suited for singles, families, catering, special holidays or occasions and more. For all special requests, please feel free to contact the cook(s) directly.

We believe we fit in best as a weekly meal planning service for our customers, and thus, a majority of our cook’s meals come frozen with detailed preparation instructions. On occasion, certain meals will require to come merely chilled or at room temperature and thus our delivery drivers will have coolers and insulated bags for such occasions.

As a platform for independent cooks, each cook will have varied tolerances for customizations. Generally, cooks will do their best to adhere to allergy and intolerance preferences, but it depends on each cook. Please contact the cook(s) directly for your requests.

As a platform for independent cooks, each cook will have different preparation instructions for every dish. These preparation instructions are listed on every individual posting and, if ordered, is automatically emailed to customers the day before delivery.

Because we are a platform for independent cooks, preparation needs vary from dish to dish and cook to cook. Generally speaking, cooks will require a microwave or a stove in order to properly heat up their dishes. Please review each individual dish’s preparation instructions as requirements may vary. If a dish is ordered, preparation instructions will be automatically emailed to customers the day before delivery.

Delivery on all orders – no matter how large or small – is a flat fee of $10.00 plus tax. We encourage customers to  order more to take advantage of the flat fee!

For all orders before Tuesday at 11:59PM, your delivery will come on Sunday afternoon of the same week. For all orders after Tuesday at 11:59PM, your delivery will arrive the following Sunday afternoon.

Currently, we deliver to Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, and New Westminister. Don’t see your city? Let us know and we’ll do our best to expand to cities with the most demand!

We request that all customers have some method of receiving delivery on Sunday afternoons in order to safely transfer the food into their fridge or freezer. If a customer can’t accommodate this schedule, we provide insulated bags for a nominal refundable deposit to help keep the food cool. Alternatively, we can delay delivery and deliver on the following Sunday instead.

Although this would be a nice gesture, our delivery drivers do not expect any form of tip or gratuity.

Because our dishes are created by independent cooks each with unique ingredients, each one will have a varied timeline for freshness. Please note that most dishes will come frozen so that will ensure some longevity for freshness. Please contact cook(s) individually for more specific details.
